The year 2012 marks a new beginning for
Optical Faze, a modern metal band formed in Brasilia, Brazil.
In January, the band enters Surplus Sound studio in Los Angeles to record their second full length album, the first in eight years.
The effort will be helmed by
Rhys Fulber, renowned musician and producer, responsible for records of important metal bands, like Fear Factory (Obsolete, Mechanize) and Paradise Lost (Symbol of Life, In Requiem).
In 2010,
Optical Faze recorded the Black Hole Iris promo, with two songs released exclusively in digital format. The two tracks were widely acclaimed, were responsible for Rhys Fulber’s interest in producing the band and earned invitations to concerts all around Brazil.

Em janeiro, a banda entra no estúdio Surplus Sound, em Los Angeles, para gravar seu segundo disco completo, o primeiro em 8 anos.
O responsável pela produção será
Rhys Fulber, músico e produtor renomado, responsável por discos de bandas importantes do metal mundial, como Fear Factory (Obsolete, Mechanize) e Paradise Lost (Symbol of Life, In Requiem).
Em 2010, o
Optical Faze gravou a promo Black Hole Iris, com duas músicas lançadas exclusivamente em formato digital. As duas faixas foram amplamente aclamadas, foram as responsáveis pela aproximação com o produtor Rhys Fulber e renderam convites para eventos como o Festival Rolla Pedra e a Seletiva Goiânia Noise.
